Welcome to our rattery!
We are the 2nd (NARR) registered rattery in Nevada and 2nd AFRMA members in Nevada.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ALL ADOPTERS MUST READ BEFORE ADOPTING.
At Nel's Rattery of Las Vegas, we breed for health, temperament, and longevity as a #1 priority, and coat type and color come 2nd. All of our rats are fed a 100% organic diet, free of any GMOs and is all prepared here at home. Our rats get fresh produce daily, are well socialized with people as well as other animals and start litter training once they can to walk.
*NOTE TO BUYERS*
We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at any point, and for any reason without explanation if we find you to be rude or unfit, and whether you have signed a contract or not. If you are going to attempt to breed pet rats we have adopted out to you then you are in breach of your pet adoption contract providing you have signed one. If you have NOT signed a contract and are breeding my lines, that is theft of not only my bloodlines but other breeders I work with as well and you will be denied all rights of registry and future adoptions. Everyone is required to sign a contract but if you do not, you have no rights and we have no obligation to you. You will not have any rights to use NLVR in the litters that you produce. There are no excuses or exceptions. Everyone is required to read this and and adhere to all rules stipulated in this and on our pet adoption contract. Again if no contract is signed, then all adoption requirements and agreements are null and void.

We are now an OPEN rattery which means we now allow potential adopters to come into our home to see our rats and their living conditions. We find that this gives adopters a better peace of mind by being able to see where their babies are coming from and how they are cared for. We used to be a closed rattery because there is a possibility of spreading disease from other rats so we ask that prior to your visit (appointment only) you do not visit other ratteries or pet stores. We made this change as we feel it is important for potential adopters to be able come bond with their babies and choose babies they are able to handle rather than having to choose from pictures we have posted of available rats.
It's important to us that all of our adopters have that peace of mind and are 100% satisfied with their experience when they come to our rattery.
We are registered with North American Rat Registry (NARR). We do this for the purpose of making our records accessible to the public. We also keep our own record books that are also available for you to view during your visit.
Current Varieties: Siamese both red eyed and black eyed, red and black eyed Himalayan, Burmese, REW, Platinum, Sky Blue
Current Types: standard eared, dumbo, standard coat, rex / double rex, in standard.
We guarantee our rat’s health at the time of adoption.
All kittens are placed in responsible and knowledgeable pet homes as same sex pairs. We will not sell single rats, as they are highly social animals and must have a companion. I do not sell to breeders unless we know you. You will be asked to sign a simple contract to protect both parties. We are available throughout the entirety of your rat's lifespan for advice and any other questions you may have. Please see notes via a PC for information and for our pet adoption contract.
We keep my rattery page updated constantly. If you are contacting me asking what's available and how to go about ADOPTING then you have not read this post. The other questions we get is about our prices.
Our rats start at $15 and go up to $35. We have so much hard work in constant research and time so if you think our prices are too high then you're not looking for quality pets. There's no profit made in breeding for us. Every penny and more goes into the care for all of our rats here at the Nel's Rattery.
