Adoption Requirements
These rats mean a lot to us. To make sure they have appropriate cages, food, bedding, and care we deliver them to your home or you may come pick them up with your cage ready for them to go home in.
We require a signed contract to reassure that they will have a loving family that will take care of them for 2-5 years that they will live.
We do not accept deposits but we do reserve them for serious homes.
Our reserves are not deposits so we can change our minds if we would like to sell them to you. Thank you for understanding.

Rat Care
Adopting a rat from us is not difficult. We like a chance to get to know you and to determine the right fit for your family. Rats must be adopted in pairs unless joining resident rats, as rats are highly social animals and need company. Nel's Rattery rats WILL NOT be sold as feeders, for laboratory use, or for breeding. Our rats are companion animals only!
